About Oldland Pre-School

Staff

Our fully qualified and experienced members of staff ensure that all of our children’s needs are met as closely as possible, including any children with special needs. All of our permanent staff are qualified to at least early years educator Level 3 and the pre-school manager is qualified to degree level. Staff also complete regular safeguarding and paediatric first aid training.

Parental Management Committee

Oldland Pre-school is a registered charity, and we have a parental management committee who work closely with staff to organise fundraising events and help make decisions about the running of the Pre-school. We always welcome new members to the committee and meet regularly throughout the year. Please contact us for more information

Working with families

We appreciate the importance of family involvement in the early stages of a child’s development and education. Therefore, we actively encourage families to help within their child’s class, as well as applying to become members of our Parental Management Committee.

We put regular observations of each child on Tapestry, which parents can log into securely to get updates on their child's progress. We also produce termly reports which are linked to the EYFS. Click here to visit tapestry (Login required)

Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)

We recognise that some children need extra help, and if needed we work closely with you as parents/carers and professionals (e.g. Community Paediatrician, Speech & Language Therapy, Local Authority) to support your child. We are experienced at supporting a wide range of needs. Please talk to us if you need more information or would like to look at our SEND policy.

Ofsted

We are Ofsted registered and have regular inspections. You can view our previous Ofsted reports here.
